Climber+ assembly: what to expect and common sticking points

Does it come assembled?

Mostly, yes. The Climber+ arrives 95% assembled. You are attaching the final pieces, not building a machine from scratch. Most people are up and climbing in about 10 minutes with the included hardware.

Before you start

  • Unbox everything and lay the parts out flat. Check the hardware bag against the manual's parts list first, so you are not hunting mid-build.
  • Small hardware is sometimes tucked inside the foam packaging or pre-threaded on the frame at its final position. Check both before assuming anything is missing.
  • Assemble on a flat surface. A rug is fine, but avoid thick uneven carpet while building.

Common sticking points

The knob will not thread into the leg. This is the most common snag. Make sure the two frame pieces are fully seated into each other first, so the knob's hole lines up all the way through both parts. If the holes are even slightly offset the knob will not catch. Press the pieces together firmly, line up the holes by eye, then thread the knob. Never force it: if it resists, realign and try again.

A bolt feels like it does not fit. Check the diagram number. Several bolts look similar but differ in length, and using a long bolt in a short position blocks it. Match each bolt to its diagram number before threading.

Parts seem missing. See our guide: Missing parts or hardware? Here's how to get replacements fast.
